My last few posts have been on the heavier and weightier side of things. So, I thought I was long overdue for a brain dump – a random, stream-of-consciousness, chaotic, unexplained collection of (dare I say) thought shrapnel.
So, without further ado, I give you the inaugural brain dump of 2020.
Random thoughts that I found in an electronic document from 7 years ago:
Leia: “Why you stuck-up, half-witted, scruffy-looking, nerd-herder!”
Han: Who’s scruffy looking?
I like Long Island Iced Tea. The two that I had at the Frasca Holiday party last weekend were quite good.
Ray, people will come Ray. They’ll come to Iowa for reasons they can’t even fathom. They’ll turn up your driveway not knowing for sure why they’re doing it. They’ll arrive at your door as innocent as children, longing for the past.
Of course, we won’t mind if you look around, you’ll say. It’s only $20 per person. They’ll pass over the money without even thinking about it: for it is money they have and peace they lack. And they’ll walk out to the bleachers; sit in shirtsleeves on a perfect afternoon. They’ll find they have reserved seats somewhere along one of the baselines, where they sat when they were children and cheered their heroes. And they’ll watch the game and it’ll be as if they dipped themselves in magic waters. The memories will be so thick they’ll have to brush them away from their faces. People will come Ray. The one constant through all the years, Ray, has been baseball. America has rolled by like an army of steamrollers. It has been erased like a blackboard, rebuilt and erased again.
But baseball has marked the time. This field, this game: it’s a part of our past, Ray. It reminds of us of all that once was good and it could be again.
Oh… people will come Ray. People will most definitely come.

You will never change unless you are stretched out of your comfort zone.

Change always starts with me.
I wish we lived in a society where people could calmly and rationally disagree with each other or have different opinions without being accused of hatred. Just because I don’t agree with a person’s opinion or lifestyle or choice does not at all mean that I hate them. It just means that we are different. And that’s ok. Love, respect, and understanding does not mean agreement.
I really, really, really like All Elite Wrestling (AEW). Le Champion, Chris Jericho is one of the best people on the mic that I’ve ever heard.
I wish the news media reported facts instead of biased opinions. I’d like to be able to draw my own conclusions, but sadly, it’s pretty hard these days to find unbiased facts.
Anyone in the Champaign, IL area, Crunch Fitness is the bomb. If you’re looking for a gym, go check them out.
In the words of my current favorite wrestler, Kenny Omega (of AEW):
“So I must bid you adieu. So until next time, ladies and gentlemen, goodbye and *kiss* goodnight. *bang*
